Whether you are searching for a new sofa or a whole new look, The Design Center offers a variety of selections of fine home furnishings to fit any need and any budget. Working with you in our store, or in your home, you will enjoy the benefits Howell Furniture has to offer with expert design and decorating assistance. Design services range from fabric selection, arrangement and space planning, color and fabric coordination, to accessories, our talented design team will help you transform your home into a fitting expression of your style.
During your initial consultation, you and your design consultant will discuss your vision for your home and the architectural details of your home itself. Once your design consultant understands your needs and wants, they will schedule an appointment for your in-home visit.
What Happens During the In-Home Visit?
After arriving at your home, the consultant will bring out the samples of fabrics or finishes that may have been pre-selected in the store, so you can see how they look in your own lighting.
The Consultant will take measurements & photos of all the rooms that we will be designing for you. They will also make a note of any unique features, wall colors and existing furniture.
Please take this time to discuss all your needs for your room and to make on-site suggestions.
What Happens After the In-Home Visit?
After your home-visit, we will bring all the information back to our design center, and prepare a presentation for you. Your room will be drawn in accurate scale and we will select furniture, fabrics and finishes based on your previous input.
If you are satisfied, we will write up your order and take an initial deposit, and keep you updated on the progress of your special-order items.
If there are multiple items, your Howell’s Design Consultant will come out with our delivery team to make sure that your new furniture, accessories and area rugs are installed and placed correctly.
Once you are completely satisfied, your Howell’s Design Consultant will continue to be available to assist with your designs needs. We will also keep you informed of any new pieces that arrive on our showroom floor that would complement your home.
